These skills comprise:
Risk assessment of new fouling prevention technologies taking into account the impact on wildlife and humans is of increasing importance. The legislative frame covering environmental aspects like biosecurity and impacts on the water quality should at early stage be taken into consideration and development for sustainable technologies in shipping and water sports.
LimnoMar acts as a consultant with an interdisciplinary and holistic approach trying to initiate communication between research instititutions, maritime industry, and authorities.
